This guide covers the reply engine (finding and drafting replies to other people's posts), which is early access today. HyperReach's live Publisher plan publishes and schedules your own posts on X, LinkedIn and Threads.

The growth guide

What actually works on X.

The archetype that wins

The accounts that grow fastest on X are news aggregators, leakers, and provocateurs. Their audience is also the least loyal: it follows a feed, not a person, and gets resold like a commodity.

The archetype that builds a real audience is the niche expert who blends judgment with reacting to what's happening in their field. Growth is slower, but every follower is aligned with what you do and converts better.

The reply-first method

Without a wave or a big account boosting you, the only documented path for a small account is to reply where it matters: under the right posts, at the right moment.

Freshness matters more than volume. A hot window, the post just went up, the conversation is starting, beats ten late replies on a post that's already gone cold.

Reach vs Lead: aiming the radar

Two independent controls decide what the radar surfaces. The audience goal slider (Reach, Balanced, Conversion) decides which conversations rank high: Reach favors fresh, fast-moving posts from bigger accounts where visibility compounds; Conversion favors your niche, people matching your ICP, and authors who actually reply. Balanced sits in between.

Lead mode is a separate toggle, not a slider position. When it is on, the radar also flags posts carrying a buying signal: someone actively looking for a tool, venting about a competitor, describing a pain, asking a question your product answers, or requesting recommendations. Flagged posts stay in the same feed with an intent chip, and the Intent filter lets you see only those.

The two combine rather than compete: the slider decides which conversations rank first, Lead mode adds buyer detection on top. Filling in your ICP in Settings makes the intent matching sharper.

When to use what: starting out, keep Balanced with Lead off and learn what your audience responds to. Growing your audience, move toward Reach. Selling, move toward Conversion, switch Lead on, and fill in your ICP.

Your rhythm

Cruising speed is roughly 2 posts and 20 to 25 quality replies a day, spread across a few short sessions instead of one long one.

Growth comes in bursts, around the moments your niche is buzzing, not from mechanical regularity. Pushing nonstop wears you out without growing you faster: burnout is the number one reason people quit.

What gets measured

The hypothesis we measure: a reply that lands drives profile visits, which drive follows. That's a correlation observed in your data, never a promise of results.

At cruising speed, 300 to 800 qualified followers a month is a realistic frame. A brand-new account starts much lower: it takes time to build a first track record in this niche.

Turn attention into an asset

A link goes in the reply, not the post itself, by default: it keeps the post cheaper to publish (X's write API charges more for posts with links).

Attention on X isn't yours to keep. Convert it into an asset you own, newsletter, product, and turn on X Premium, which prioritizes your replies.

What we will never do

No auto-send: you prepare, you publish. No pods or coordinated reply networks, they can get your whole network suspended. No buying followers.

And no invented numbers, in this guide or anywhere else in the app: the ranges we show are either measured or clearly labeled as hypotheses.

Concepts

Signal #1: replies under your posts.

Replying to people who replied to you is the best-paid gesture on X. Reply while it's warm.

The closed loop

radar → voice → CRM → you post → outcome → reinjected into radar + voice. Every reply makes the next one smarter. No competitor closes this loop.

Lead capture

The Lead Magnet captures the email of people who engage with your replies, strict opt-in only. Set your offer and CTA in Settings; it's proposed once a reply crosses the auto-plug threshold, and opt-outs are honored instantly.

Profile conversion

Turn profile visits into follows: nail the checklist, A/B your assets, and watch the growth that follows.
